Dear Mr. Peterson,

I am writing this letter to thank you for giving me an opportunity to be interviewed for the position of Programmer. I have enjoyed speaking with you – our meeting reminded me of the first time I played OverWreck when it was released by your company. Last week I called the HR department, and they mentioned that you would be making a decision soon. For the present time, I have not heard back from your company. I am not sure if I am still being considered as a candidate for this position. If the position is still open, I would like to reaffirm my interest in your company.

As we discussed my previous background, it became clear that my knowledge and work experience is well-suited for obtaining the position of Programmer. My passion to create games and improve the old ones is connected to the philosophy of the company.

After reading the book you recommended, Game Engine Architecture, I gained a clearer understanding of game programming and structure within the industry. Based on our conversation and the research I have done since then, I believe that my experience and skills will fit the interests of the company. As you mentioned in our interview, you need people who can think out-of-the-box, act quickly in tight situations and who can deal with a variety of different projects. I have always been considered a dependable and loyal employee with a big imagination and ability to work. I have a strong interest in learn more about your company and would enjoy being a part of your team.

I have included my updated resume so you can view my professional skills and work experience once again. Perhaps it would be suitable to meet once again and explore all the ways in which I could benefit your company. Or maybe you can test my professional skills by giving me a task? I remain very interested in working in your company. Please contact me at (868) 456-4475 or rowlwi@thismail.com.

Sincerely,
William Growl
